Here's my pile.

Look.
A pile of knitting...

Urban Aran Cardigan fronts are done. YEAH! Just the sleeves and the collar to go. I am planning to block out the fronts and knit the collar ASAP so that I can search for a zipper.

That pile on top...well, that's a doll. Can you tell? The last doll pieces are knit...and most of one outfit...will it all get done?

Hopefully I will go at those dolls this weekend and knit the rest of the outfits...sew up the last one and have a fashion show on monday!

Now...those life changing...pivotal moments....I am going to need a crock pot.

Congrats on the fronts!! I'm working on the Urban Aran myself. Just wondering, did you chart out the fronts separately or does your brain work that much better than mine so you could just work the shaping for the two separate halves as you go? Just wondering. Lovely work!

Sometimes the separating zippers that open from the top and the bottom are hard to find. If you can't find it at Fabricland, try the tailor/repair shop at the malls. I was delighted to find the range and selection of zippers there. And it may need to be washed before sewing it in. In my limited experience, the zippers sometimes shrink a bit, and that leaves a sort of buckled appearance in the front.
Looking forward to seeing the doll fashion show. Don't doll clothes take way more time than you expect?

I'm so impressed with how much of your Christmas knitting you've done!
And I just got the Street Smart pattern book (I'm making the Hoodie) and never would have thought of the Urban Aran as a man's sweater until seeing yours and the link to Jared's--I think that may be my husband's next sweater -- thank you!
And thank you Marlyce in Windsor, Ontario for those zipper tips!
