From Black to White.

I know what you are going to say. We've had this conversation before...but I just couldn't decide on a colour. My husband was waiting in the car...and I couldn't think of Grandmas winter coat colour...I think it is red, but I am not sure...so I went with cream. It actually looks white in some light. Maybe it is white. Maybe it is not so practical. Maybe I just needed something to knit...

Grandmas shawl (come on, the colour is perfect for cool summer nights!) is the Sheltland Lace shawl from Wrapstyle.
The pattern is so simple. Like almost too simple. I love the leaf pattern, you see it often in my knits.
This is a very easy knit, there is no reason to look at the chart. Perfect for someone wanting to venture into lace knitting.

Again, the yarn is Regia Silk. Love it. NOT JUST FOR SOCKS!

Side note:
Someone asked about the last shawl. It was the Diamond Fantasy Shawl made of Regia Silk. I try to answer anyone's questions. I know I am behind on a few...I am getting to it...sorry. If you put your email in the email address are in comments, I will send you a response immediately, then I don't forget.

Beautiful shawl - Grandma will love it and use it often! I must look into the Regia silk, as I cannot wear mohair! I don't know if I have ever told you, but I do enjoy your blog and it is in my top four to view every day. Hope to start my own soon, any suggestions. Peg at johnpegc@telus.net

Ooh, that shawl is so pretty. Can it really be "easy"?
Lucky grandma.

So simple, but so so pretty! I've eyed that pattern before, it's quite lovely. And the Regia Silk - seems like a new addiction for you!

Lovely. I'm using Regia Silk now for socks. Can't wait to get more for other projects.

Oooh, I love this shawl. It's leafy, but oh-so-slightly abstract. I think that I've found my next lace knit!

its a lovely pattern. I'll take your word for it that is is simple, but it looks complicated to a lace virgin.
you think it is suitable for a lace beginner?
