I started a couple days ago, working inbetween my sock. I did a sleeve a day...I screwed up the increasing for some reason on the second sleeve and had to rip the whole thing out and could still knit it up again that day.
Here we are today. Two sleeves and the collar.
Now I need the circs. Don't ask why I have the US#13 needles in the first place (has to do with when I started knitting...and a poncho...and I don't really want to talk about it). It does move quickly because of the gauge and the needle size, but it is so awkward to work with needles so large.
AND...after searching and searching for yarn...look what is up on elann.com. Perfect for this sweater, wish they had put it up a couple days ago!

Oooo looks good. The LLS is on my list of patterns....but it keeps falling off the bottom cuz I add so many things on the top! LOL
I agree that the yarn at Elann might be nice...the only problem with LdL is that so many of the yarns are super bulky. I wish more of the patterns were in the worsted/aran range. I don't much like knitting with broomsticks! :)

It's funny you said that about the acrylic--I am knitting some ballet legwarmers for a friend's girls (out of fuzzy, sparkly polyester yarn, per request) and someone pointed out yesterday how warm they'll be because they're polyester. I never really thought about that, either. Guess I just equate warm with wool! :)
Looks fab! I like the color you choose. I hope this works out for you, seems like I've seen a few of these sweaters that were ripped out due to issues with the shoulders.
I absolutely love that sweater, but when I read your post, it sounded very familiar... have you seen Alison's (http://alison.knitsmiths.us/)posts on her struggle with the lace leaf sweater?
Acrylic makes me sweat too, but the yarn you have should be fine because of the wool content. Looks very pretty.
I like the color you ended up with, I think it's pretty. You're really knitting it up fast, I can't believe how quickly you have moved on it!

Well the country on winter became very cold, i work in Viagra Canada labs and I use sweater all the time, you are lucky in that way because you can use it as fashion, but well is very cool, i like the color and the wool.
