Socktoberfest...there is still time!

I had to cast on for another sock...since it is socktoberfest!

A little jaywalker action in koigu...I'm loving it. I have to resort to my squeeze technique because I chose to make these top down...and I have to make them shorter because of the yardage in koigu. I hope it all works out...this yarn with this pattern is really fabulous.
These will be a christmas gift for my lovely SIL who came down today to watch the little devils angels while I spent 4 hours at the spa.......aaaaaaahhhhhhh.....
Yes, it is a lovely manicured thumb, thank you.
Will the pair be done for the end of socktoberfest?
To be con't...

p.s. thank you to all for participating in my little knitting meme! It's great to see all everyone's different thoughts:)

Congratulations on the success of your meme! It's sweeping the knitblogosphere! :)

Wow, the combination of the koigu and jaywalker is great. I have two different colorways of koigu and haven't been able to decide what to do with them. I keep seeing new patterns that I think would be perfect! I've heard great things about Kathy's pattern elsewhere too. After I finish Log Cabin... :)

Oooh Carolyn--you have the best koigu colors! Gorgeous socks--can't wait to see the finished product.

Your Jaywalker in that colorway is just gorgeous!! So beautiful! And I took a peek at your "squeeze" technique. Too funny! Since I haven't mastered the toe-up technique yet, I constantly squeeze the skein and do a lot of appealing to all sorts of deities, hoping I have enough yarn to make it. On my latest sock, I had exactly *one* yard remaining! Ah, life on the edge! :-)

I cast on a pair of socks too. Even though I had talked myself out of GWTF they are the ones on the needles right now! So far, so good.
