I feel like I am never home.
Running here and there, visiting, entertaining the children, appearing at birthday parties...finally I am home again!
I get home to skim the million blogs I read...maybe comment if I have a moment or a thought...and then try to blog myself.
There are a lot of knitting, knit thoughts, projects, yarn purchases going on...lots to blog about!
So be patient as I fill you in over the next week...
I haven't seen the new VK but I did finally get my IK.
(did you notice that I knit nothing from the last IK...nothing...hmmmm.)
I really like this edition. There are some great projects in it...
This, this, this, definitely this, and not to sure about but maybe this. Will I have time to knit all of these? Well, probably not...until after Christmas.
Yes, I have plunged right into the Christmas knitting.
You have seen the dolls...the hat swatches...now the swallow tail shawl.
I have finished the first two charts and am on to the lily of the valley cart.

My mom has an expression: It's Memorial Day and summer's already over! I know how she feels, and I know how you feel too. Especially since the calendar marches on towards my daughter's first day of kindergarten and my son's first day of preschool.
Sigh. Time is marching on. Way too fast. Must knit!
Ahh--Christmas knitting--no!! I'm behind before I've even begun!
I've only flipped through my new IK once or twice. I just can't bear to look at cabled sweaters, yet! :) *That blanket is soooo gorgeous, though. . . .
Oh, and I love the color of your Swallowtail shawl!
Isn't it funny how when you're thinking about a project, it pops up everywhere? Your shawl looks so beautiful! Have you seen the kal for it: http://swallowtailshawlkal.blogspot.com/
Good - I am not alone in Christmas knitting. I have two shrugs on my list, but love your shawl. Which pattern is that one?
I await IK and I, too, will carry on with the Christmas knitting!
Aack! Christmas!! You got a nice start on your projects. I love that pattern!
That is such a pretty color. It's great to do Christmas knitting in August - it's relaxing, not stressful. :)
My swallowtail is nearly finished - I really like the lily of the valley patterns. :)
Oh. My. Goodness! That purple is absolutemently gorgeous! My mouth was hanging open for a really long time when I saw the gorgeous picture. Thanks for sharing.
I just stumbled on your blog and I am happy to see someone else working on the Swallowtail shawl. I'm completely hating the P5 tog!!
You make knitting look so yummy!
Hello from Norway :o)
Your shawl looks beautiful! I just got my copy of IK and plan on knitting this myself ;)
