Tagged!

Ok I've been tagged, (thank you Laura!) so I will play along. I haven't done the 100 things about me...so this will let you in a little.

Ten years ago: Living the life. My own place, my own rules. Working part time and going to university, studying visual arts and art history. I got bored with school and started working full time in retail management. 23 years old and thought I knew it all...boy have I grown! Met my husband...and so it began.

Five years ago: Happily married for 3 years. Working managing multiple home decor stores. My husband got a big contract in the states, so we moved to Windsor to lessen his commute. Luckily the company I was working for was opening a location here...perfect for me!

One year ago: Life had changed drastically in the last 4 years. All of a sudden life got real. Many pivotal moments here. We got pregnant for our first born. My sister was diagnosed with stage four cancer at 34yrs of age...out of nowhere. I take up knitting. I give birth...and got pregnant 6 months later! I give birth to our second born. I start to knit even more. Just under a year ago, the unimaginable happens. On my way to CT to help my sister through some treatments, I get the phone call. My brother didn't wake up. He was 27yrs old...my life changes forever. This past year has been the most difficult one of my life. I bury myself in my children and my knitting to keep me sane. I really feel like this past year didn't even happen. (not to get all depressing on you, but now you know why I knit so much!)

Five snacks: I love snacks. Resees peanut butter cups. Tortilla chips (love Tostitoes and esp the hint of lime ones.) Cookies...preferable Tim Hortons (all you Canadian knitters know where a Tim's is!) chocolate caramel pecan cookies. Popcorn. Chocolate, any shape or form.

Five songs I know all the words to: "Dora the explorer". Any Wiggles one...just name it, I know it. Missy Elliot's "Work It" and the more current "Lose Control". Nora Jones "Come away with me". Gwen Stefani "What are you waiting for?".

Five things I would do with $100 million: That's alot of money. I would take my my friends and entire family on a trip...maybe a Disney Cruise so both the children and the adults could enjoy. Buy a bigger house and furnish it. Buy a cottage in northern Canada...somewhere in the Muskokas. I'd have to get a car...one for me (classic...mercedes)and one for my husband ( you know he loves vets). I would pay off any debts of my family and give them each one million. The rest would go to charity because I couldn't possibly spend it all...well, maybe on yarn.

Five places to run away to: Cuba, I loved that trip. My parents house for some peace and quiet. The corner store without having to take the children. My bedroom with a little knitting. The bathroom...all by myself!

Five things I would never wear: Bell bottoms. Those big wedged crazy shoes. Low rise pants...no never. Halter tops. Anything without a bra.

Five favorite TV shows: Seinfeld. Big Brother. Desperate House Wives. Everyone Loves Raymond. CSI.

Five biggest joys: My Husband. My children. My family. My friends. My life.

Five favorite toys: Yarn and needles...of course. My computer. Our Digital Camera. My kitchen aid mixer. My new elliptical trainer!

Five people to pass this on to: Oh boy...who wants it. I've seen this meme out there alot...so if you haven't got it yet...consider yourself tagged!

I second goodkarma's thoughts...thanks for sharing this. I totally understand that feeling that your life is not happening to you. I went through that when Sam was first diagnosed with autism. Knitting really helped calm me, and it still does! *Hugs* from here too!
