I did it! I finally figured out (with a little ravelry help) how to put my patterns up for sale!
The Big Fat Fern Afghan
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, 6 skeins (approximately 640yrds)
Needles: US size #13/9 mm. A similar sized crochet hook is optional for the cast on.
Gauge: 9 sts and 12 rows in 4" knit in stocking stitch.
My favourite lace motif - the leaf.
Combined with simple stocking and garter stitch to make a big fat cozy afghan. It knits up quickly in a super chunky yarn and it is perfect for the beginner lace knitter.
The pattern can be easily modified to add more width or length.
Many knitters have commented that they would knit is as a wrap...great idea!
The Big Fat Fern Afghan pattern is listed for $3.oo US on ravelry.
For those of you who are not members yet (I highly recommend you get on the waiting list!) you should be able to access it here:

I hope you like the pattern. I am getting better at making them up and have figured out pdf's!
Happy knitting!

That's definitely going in the queue as I am much in love and feeling the urge to knit large projects lately.
Just ordered my copy. I have been looking for a chunky throw pattern. Thanks for making the pattern available. I'm a green person, too, so I love your choice in yarn.
I love it! What a gorgeous blanket.
Wicked awesome. I just bought it, and put it in my queue. I have a son who is going to be moving into a new place in the early summer - this might make the perfect housewarming project! A lot of bulky projects don't have much detail, but yours does - love it!
Gorgeous blanket! So many things I love about it. Leaf motif, natural colour, bulky yarn, and keeping warm! Thanks for sharing. ^__^
It looks beautiful! Love it.
I think this is going to be my first knitted afghan. For some reason afghans have always seemed too big to knit, and so I've crocheted them. I'm in the process of choosing my next afghan pattern and this is going to be it! Thanks!!!!
For those interested, JoAnns online is selling the Thick and Quick for $4.50/ball and there is a promotion code on the yarn front page for free shipping. My local Joanns and Michaels have pretty limited/miserable yarn selection for Thick and Quick so this is another option for people in my situation.
Congrats on your ravelry pattern debut!
This is gorgeous! You chose a perfect color for it.
What a great pattern. A lovely afghan that won't break the bank to knit. My couch thanks you :)
Gorgeous. My mom was just asking me about afghan patterns and I am sending her the link right now!
