Hold on to your hats.....

I'm done.
Well, not knitting...because I can always knit something...but the "planned" Christmas knits are done. There were a few hats this year....here is a glimse of them.

ribbed beanie

A simple 2x2 ribbed beanie made with cascade 220 in navy.

chunky beret

A chunky knit Urchin from knitty, made with wool ease, in pink! I was not sure if I liked this one...it does stretch but the size worried me so I knit this...

alexis' hat

A Kiddie Cadet made with bernat wool blends. The flower is from jimmy beans wool anna's angel hat and knit with left over DB cashmerino dk in the mauve that just happens to match! I really love this knit and may make some more for fun!

turn a square

A turn a square hat that is just a basic brown tweed knit with jo sharp silkroad tweed. I do want to make it in the noro stripe, whenever I get some more in the stash!

thick and thin

The last one...which is obviously not a hat...a super-fast, ultra cosy scarf made with 2 balls of wool ease.

thick scarf tag

All packaged up and ready to go!

wow, congrats!! I've been working on a quilt for my nephew, and I think I may have bit off more than I can chew! (well, chew in such a short period of time)

Your version of Urchin makes me rethink that pattern. It looks so small in the Knitty photos, but maybe I could make it longer so that it's a boxy hat that covers my ears.
