I was lucky enough to have a little knitting getaway this weekend. My girlfriend from Windsor met me at my sisters in london...no kids! It was great. We knit away on our christmas gifts...cowls and socks.
Our very important 4 c's of knitting...
Corona, Chocolate, chestnuts and cakes of yarn!
I am not sure about this louet merino. I miss the microfibre of cashmerino. It almost feels like knitting with cotton. I kept changing needle sizes trying to get the right density...I am not 100% now. I refuse to rip a third time. Hello. Gauge swatch...I know.
I did start a new pair of socks...Gentleman's fancy socks from Knitting Vintage Socks. I am using Kroy 4 ply again. It does knit up nicely. The sock is so big (of course to match the foot of the recipient) it is like knitting a stocking!
Fill 'er up Santa!
Hope you had a great knitting weekend!

The sock is lovely! Or should I say "handsome". I give you credit for making it for such a large footed recipient - I would definitely have 2nd sock syndrome.
Glad you got some time with good friends and good knitting!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend!
You are a super fast sock knitter! That pattern is one of my favorites.
