Picot edge hat.

You know that I was desperately hoping that someone would say that the socks would stretch. I knew and know that they are too small. My inner knitter was obviously yelling at me...but did I listen?
I kept knitting...decreased the toe and tossed it to my sister to try on, getting her opinion.
"These are too small" she said.
Great, well, no surprise, I knew that. I guess I was hoping that magical knitting fairy would appear and add 8 stitches to the circumfrence. Hmmm. It didn't happen.
That's ok though. There is another person on my list that they will fit...that is really why I just kept knitting. So, the other sock is on the go and I should finished these up tonight. YEAH!
Thank you for your comments on the yarn...I do love that they are washable, but the pilling worries me. We will see.

In other knitting news. I made a picot edge hat (I promise that this is the last picot edge thing I will knit), to go with my mittens.

picot edge hat and mitts
Not too bad!
I will write up the pattern for those of you that want a matching hat for your mitts! The mitten pattern is here.
They both make great Christmas gifts...get knitting!
One month to go!

So cute! And absolutely perfect with the mittens.
Now stop showing me pretties while I'm trying to stay on task with my holiday knitting.

I really like the hat and mittens. I have some yarn nearly that colorway. Can you say "happy?" Isn't it nice that you have someone who can enjoy the socks, even if they don't fit you? It is sort of like a surprise...finished...Christmas present. Thank you for sharing your mittens pattern.
