Malabrigo bucket.

My simple TV watching knit is complete...and I love it!

Pattern: A Better Bucket Hat
Yarn: Malabrigo in grey and pink...leftover from way back when...

This is seriously a simple knit. I did the provisional cast on using a second set of needles. It was a little awkward to do. Was it worth it? I don't know. You get pretty much the same results knitting the cast on stitch together with the live stitch on the round you turn up the hem. You could also sew up the hem. It is always great to learn a new technique though....just in case you will ever need it!

I have finished knitting the thick and thin cardigan as well. My hands were a little blue from the cascade 220...hmmm...a little worried about that. Not sure if I will get to blocking that today but you should see an FO next week when I discover some great buttons!

Not having knit this hat, but having used the provisional cast on-knit together method for a pair of socks by Sivia Harding (proving how much I love her) I got dramatically different results when I used her method (smart) and tried to out-think her by just picking up stitches and knitting them together to make my turning row (apparently stupid; she's my Goddess for a reason). The second produced a much bulkier, much less smooth result.

lovely! I need to do this pattern already.

And you know, green 220 bled on my hands like crazy, but was fine after one wash.
