Just when you were approaching the finish line...

I found one more ball! I thought I was on the home stretch with the last ball...but found a partial ball. So NOW I am on the home stretch!

Today...the boys BOTH start school! I will have 3 hours to myself for the first time in 5 years!

What shall I do? I thought of exercising...or cleaning...or having a nap!!! But I think I will be finishing "shifting sands!"
I also have that never ending baby sweater...and I really need to knit another toddler sweater to mail out for the end of the week;0
I better search the stash and find a pattern!
I will be knitting many scarves, hats and mits this winter. I do have similiar feelings to grumperina...but I just can't NOT knit a sweater! I must knit this!

Shifting Sands looks great! And even I am tempted by that sweater!

It looks really great. What yarn did you end up using?

The scarf is beautiful! And as for how to spend your free time, you made the right choice. I always choose knitting over cleaning ;)

Isn't it nice to have some time to finally breathe? My 5 are all in school this year. (One in college...my blog partner) It's the first time I've been alone in 18 years!!! I'm alternating between cleaning up messes and knitting. Oh, and some blog reading!!!

I love the scarf, and I would be knitting too with 3 hours to myself. Housework can always be done when children are home, just make sure they are entertained in another room of the house.

I think that the "this" is a wonderful idea! And horay on the Shifting Sands scarf! I have some wool in the mail that I'll be putting towards that very project. Can't wait til it gets here!

Oh yeah, that sweater caught my eye several times. The cabling is brilliantly designed. OH! I can replicate that in a sock (for me!), I'm sure of it!

Three hours alone! Paradise.

Knit away.

I get excited just thinking about you working on Christmas knits. I have been a long time reader of yours and it is so much fun watching you make your way down your list. Oh and I think that non-knitters are tempted by Eunny's designs!

The more I see Shifting Sands, the more I like it!~ I, too, am tempted by that sweater - before you know it, someone will have started a KAL - probably there is one already!
Enjoy your three hours of quiet each day - it keeps Mom's sane!

Your shifting sands looks wonderful! And I can't wait to live vicariously through you on that sweater - it is so gorgeous!

I made it to 6 hours today, whew! Almost nine years since I've had a decent stretch of time by myself. First grade...ah. If only they didn't fight in the car on the way home...

love your scarf...love all your knitting, in fact....those 3 hours to yourself...well, just try to enjoy them, because I'm sure you've already figured out that its over in a blink...then you're right back to "mommy, mommy, mommy".
