Retro Rib 1

Ok sock knitters over at socktoberfest...we have our first official socktoberfest sock. One. But it's finished!

Let me say it is snug, but I did that purposely. You see, I learned a valuable lesson with koigu. I need to show you before wear and after wear of my Go With The Flow socks...wait and see.
Let it be known, that if you are using koigu, which I love, make them snug.

I can't say enough how much I love this figure 8 cast on and this toe...
The official toe pose:

If you haven't tried it, give it a go...

Those look great! Is that pattern from IK? It looks familiar.

Thanks too for the tip about the koigu! After I finish Sam's socks, I am planning to cast on some koigu for me.

They look great so far! And, yes, we'd love to see the before- and after-wear Koigu sock, and why they need to be knit to be snug.

Hi! I found your blog through Laura's... and am so glad I did. Your Retro Rib socks are great - and I LOVE the toe! I already bookmarked the link on that toe so that I can try it with my next pair. I just tried grafting the toe on my sock - and after 3 really weird looking attempts, kind of did some version of the star toe and left it at that.

Anyway... great to meet you and great to find your blog!

Lovely Retro Rib! Lovely Koigu colors! I'd say it's a winning combination.
