Do I just k2tog somewhere inconspicuous?
No I decided this scarf is going to be perfect. I have fixed mistakes before by dropping stitches and picking them up again correctly....well...it's not going so well. I need help/advice/direction...please anything.
Any thoughts...I just don't want to rip back 10 rows...we are talking 3000 sts...
I should have just k2tog somewhere inconspicuous...only I would have known...
I'm going to knit a sock now.

I am horrible at ripping down in the work(unless it is within 2 rows or so).
I will say that when I made my Ene, I had to do an inconspicuous K2tog here and there. And I really can't tell on the finished project.

I wish I could give some help/advice/direction, but all I can give is sympathy. I am just a little further along on ENE and I am putting stichmarkers everywhere and I am counting and recounting all the time. I say, rip back! Your yarn is so beautiful, it's worth the trouble!
This can be a little tricky. Try your best to pick the stitches back up, and if it doesn't work, you might have to rip. Oh the tragedy, considering how well it's going so far!
I'd keep futzing with it until you get it. I believe you can do it!
Hi Carolyn! I have never ripped down with stitches still on the needle, but it's a skill I would like to learn. I would be seriously tempted to just add a k2tog somewhere. But I can also understand the desire to have a perfect scarf. What a dilemma. I think I might rip back to that row. :(
By the way, your beautiful socks have inspired to start some sock knitting! Thanks!

I am heartsick for you - I just took a break from knitting an Aran baby blanket - I check all the time for mistakes - easy rhythm once you get the patterns set in your mind - happened to look back at about 3-4 hours of knitting and found a mistake - I am going to rip back...but tomorrow...I'm ready to scream at the moment!!
I just purchased the book to knit the exact same shawl you are knitting - was going to ask you about your red yarn - LOVE IT! I rip back everything - even if everyone tells me you'll never know. I'll know...and I won't be happy knowing there's a glaring (or not so glaring!) error in it. It is so beautiful - I think it's worth ripping out.
Why do we get so crazed about our passion - why does it do this to us? I swear on some days it's a love/hate relationship with two sticks and some string!
