On Hold socks.

Sometime back...between the last post and this post...I managed to finish up Mom's birthday socks.

On Hold socks II

Pattern: On Hold socks found in Socks From The Toe Up by Wendy Johnson
Yarn: Shelridge Farms soft touch ultra 370yrd of Peacock.
Adjustments: None to speak of. I knit the smaller size, turned the heel for mom's size foot and ribbed at the top until I ran out of yarn. My choice of cast off lately, for toe up socks, is Jenny's stretchy cast off.

They turned out just perfectly. I really love knitting socks from the toe up...at least for us large footed ones. You just knit until you are out of yarn. The colour is so beautiful, so mom. This was the first time working with Shelridge Farms yarn, and definitely not the last! It has beautiful stitch definition and feels wonderful to the touch.

I've got a little finishing...like sewing on buttons...before I reveal some other finished knits. I've also been doing a little sewing...more to come!
