HELLO?!

Yeah, yeah...I'm still here. This is really sad. I have hardly knit a thing in the past week. A couple rows here...a couple rows there. I just am not "feeling it" for the projects on the go.
So, I need a new project...and my sister has put in a request.

I think it will two colours of this guy...

More to follow....hopefully within the next couple days!

And if you try to search who has knit one...you come up with the pattern online!

I have some questions and requests in my email...sorry...I will get to them this week!

AIR

I made it through the storm.
Finally...

Started: January 28, 2007
Finished: March 11, 2007
Pattern: Air from Kim Hargreaves Calmer Collection
Yarn: Rowan Calmer in cream
Adjustments: None. I could have tightened up the gauge a little...it is bigger than I would have liked. Definitely not a negative ease sweater, but I kind of like the change. I wonder how it would fair in the dryer? I think I will throw the swatch in before I put the sweater in. I just don't think it will tightened up width wise. We'll see.
All in all, I do love it. What a great sweater for the spring!

A close up on some detail...

The pocket flaps are cute...but they go right over to the arm pit. They really could be omitted...but I kind of liked them.

This knitter is ready for spring...I finally knit something I like for 2007!
What's next?!
Did you click on Kim Hargreaves to see her new collection? Check out THIS BEAUTY! I have to knit it!

Sooooo close.

Just waiting for the buttons to be put on and collar to be knit.

I really am close to finishing this sweater!

I am a knitter!!!

After the initial shock wore off...I picked myself up and dusted myself off. (you knew I would;)

This knitting thing can suck you in.
It can take over your life.
It can satisfy you like nothing else.
It has been known to make you very happy...but be careful...it can easily take you down.

I decided to continue with the sleeves that I was working on when I realized the huge mistake. Simple st st.
That's all I could handle. I did weigh all my options. (thank you all for your suggestions)
I considered what everyone said...and yes, I eventually ripped that front.

Funny how most of you saw the gigantic mistake, and only a few noticed that stupid cable mistake that I was originally talking about. Sometimes you just need another set of eyes...my knit bloggers!

I kept the original picot cast on and moss stitch edge...then I sat and knit. I knit...and knit...and knit...like the good ole days. That's right...the front, the sleeves and the flap top for the pockets...
