Feeling HOT HOT HOT!

It's HOT. Like, I'M MELTING...HOT.
I think I am becoming delirious with heat...maybe it is heat stroke...I doubt the air conditioner...it's on, but it is still HOT.
What a better time to stay inside and knit.

Progress on my little knitted bag for my niece's birthday...

Ok, it's cute. I am using up scraps of sock yarn and I am able to work on some intarsia...which I have never offically tried. Not too bad. Although, I must tell you I am just CRAVING some fair isle. Seriously, I've got to find a fair isle project soon....

What about the sweater on the cover of the fall IK. I haven't got my copy yet...but is that really something one could wear? Is that the NEW FI yolk sweater?

Have you seen Eunny's blog lately? (http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2006/07/taught.html)
Now there's some fair isle!

I was wondering the same thing--all I could think is, ok, that yoke would make me look like a linebacker! NOT flattering.

I think it's wearable - depends completely on the person, but I hope to make it!

What is that adorable book from which you are knitting that cute thing?

That IK FI sweater is definitely CUTE! I'm going to do Eunny's Vest first though, fair isle and steeking. I think it will be a good primer to move on to more adventurous things!

p.s.

CUTE bag.

p.s.s.

Did you ever hear from "that" editor about "that" book with the horrendous amount of errors in it?

I love that cute little bag! The IK sweater is gorgeous but I too, wonder about the wearability factor. What about changing the neckline to make the sweater have more of a crewneck? I think this would definitely make it more wearable, but I don't know how easy it is to do.

I love the little bag. It's adorable. What's the book you're working from (and are there other equally adorable patterns in there?). Can't wait to see what you end up with as a FI project.
