Feast your eyes on this
"Truffles are what sweet lovers fantasize about. They are opulent orbs of smooth chocolate. Truffles must be eaten ever so slowly to get every flavor sensation, as they slide past your lips and into your mouth"
Yeah, so, you say.
Yummy. Let me tell you about the yarn...SR Kertzer truffles...
Truffles is the yarn that every knitter fatasizes about. It is wonderfully blended merino wool and cashmere. Knit with it ever so slowly to feel the smooth, soft plies, as they slide over your fingers and produce a soft luxurious garment.
Seriously...it is soft...I mean SOFT...get naked and roll around in it soft.
If you haven't yet tried it, please go buy a ball...just try it for me. I want you to experience it.
My LYS (Prattes) has had it in stock for a couple months...and I finally broke down (6.99 can for a mere 66yrds) . I am so glad I did!
What am I making? The fingerless mittens in the current IK. It actually calls for this yarn! Look at how lovely it knits up...
We'll talk about the practicality of fingerless mittens in another post.
Lastly but certainly not least...
Thank you all for your support and wonderful comments throughout the Olympic Knitting Games. As you can see in the side bar, I have earned my fabulous gold medal! I do need to step it up a notch for the next games...I need more of a challenge...what will I knit for the next Olympics.....hmmmm.....

How could we resist buying some after that description!
Clearly, the yarn is your Olympic Bonus! And I think fingerless mitts are super-practical actually--they let you lower the heat in your house a titch (thus saving $ to buy more yarn!) and they are excellent spring/fall transitional accessories! I have knit 2 pairs and wear them all the time!
Practicality of fingerless mittens?!? How about the practicality of WHITE fingerless mittens? But you know what - it's all worth it. I'm jealous that you're playing with that yarn... and I'm not :(.
Beautiful yarn is worth every penny and is sometimes -- but not always -- better than chocolate!
I love Truffles too! I knit "Branching Out" Scarf in it twice and also a pair of tit bits! It is so soft and it feels so good on the hands!
I don't think we can get those in Germany...but it looks absolutely soft!
Ooo, that is lovely looking yarn. Although it is amusing that you are knitting white fingerless mittens. Are you only going to wear them to bed so they don't get dirty? Hee.
Thanks for the review, I've been eyeing this yarn, now I know to grab some.
Must go buy yarn now!! Sounds divine!
I have some Truffles -- in dark green, about 5 or 6 balls. It was at my not-upscale, one-step-up-from-the-craft-store LYS. I haven't tried it yet, but now I am dying to get knitting with it. I was thinking of using it for Forbes Forest, perhaps.
