Olive

Finally...I am knitting for me!

This is the starts of "Olive". I have had the book and the yarn for quite some time. I keep thinking that the knit is too simple and therefore wouldn't keep my interest. I searched different patterns, gauge and yardage...but kept going back to this pattern.

Simple is what I need right now....so Olive it is.

I must get a sock on the go...I know I started a jaywalker...for me...where did I put that?
Oh and that Odessa hat for Maia...I am a little late on that...
Grumperina patterns...
What about that scarf...shifting sands...I need one of those too...

Yummy! That was the first thing that came to mind seeing that yarn that color that pattern! Looking forward to the finished pic.

  2. Love the colour and I like simple knitting - guess that is why I love Sally Melville designs. Sometimes lace is great, but there are times for mindless, but relaxing, knitting.
    Happy New Year!

Simple or not, the colour you are knitting with can only be called sumptuous! What book is "Olive" in? I may need something simple to make for Me too...

What a beautiful color! Sometimes the simplest knits look the best, and it's always nice to have something "easy" on the needles.

That is a gorgeous knit! I love zippered jackets and (like your other commenter) would love to know which book this is from.

what a great, simple, basic yet classic pattern - it reminds me of the Bomber cardi in the Rowan Denim book I keep eyeing! What book is that from? It looks really familiar...after all your Christmas knits, you deserve something for you!
